Reiki Application

Reiki is a method of laying on of hands that goes back to the Japanese Mikao Usui and emerged at the beginning of the 20th century. The word is made up of two Japanese characters: “Rei” is often translated as “universal”, “Ki” as “life energy”.

During the session, the practitioner acts as a channel, passing universal life energy on to the recipient. According to Reiki teaching, this energy flows to where it is needed most, supporting relaxation and inner balance.

Reiki is not a religion or a belief system. Anyone can learn and practise it, whatever they believe. The treatment takes place fully clothed on a comfortable couch, and many people experience it as deeply relaxing.
